This seven-day private journey moves at the pace of the valley itself: unhurried, considered, and composed around your comfort. Your private journey begins at Islamabad airport, where your driver meets you. A short domestic flight to Gilgit — itself dramatic, threading between peaks — then a private transfer along the Karakoram Highway as the valley of Hunza opens before you. Check in to your heritage suite, welcome dinner as the last light touches Rakaposhi.
A private, guided morning in two of the great forts of the Karakoram — Baltit, centuries old and commanding the whole valley, and Altit, the older original below. Lunch in a restored old-town café overlooking orchards. Afternoon at leisure.
Drive up the KKH to the extraordinary turquoise expanse of Attabad Lake — formed in 2010 when a landslide dammed the Hunza River. A private boat crossing, the cathedral spires of the Passu Cones rising behind. Return via Gulmit village.
An early-morning private drive to Eagle's Nest at Duikar — one of the great viewpoints in the Karakoram, with Rakaposhi (7,788 m), Ultar Sar, and the full valley laid out below. Breakfast above the clouds, then a gentle return. Afternoon: orchard walk and local craft.
Cross into Nagar Valley — Hunza's quieter mirror — and reach the edge of the Hopper Glacier. A guided walk on the glacier's moraine with your local guide, who was born in the valley and knows every stone. Return through Nagar village for tea.
This day is entirely yours. Rest on your terrace, photograph the valley in every light, revisit the fort, or ask your concierge for something unscripted. We will arrange whatever serves you.
